We Did It!

northernriversgrovelogoWe are very proud to announce that the Mother Grove approved our charter and we are officially Northern Rivers Grove of ADF!  The members of Northern Rivers have been working towards this since we set out to become a protogrove.  We’ve always worked to operate as a grove, so we have already been offering public celebrations for each of the holidays and meeting regularly.  We have also been working on public service projects.  For Winter Solstice last year, we collected money for a local wildlife rehabilitation center.  For the last couple months, one of our members has organized a collection of helpful writing and images for a budding protogrove in a west coast correctional facility.  Now that we have that under our belts, we can work together on our tax exemption with ADF, which will help with ritual and workshop supplies.  Of course, we will continue to work hard at learning and growing together, and offering fellowship and learning opportunities for the local Pagan community.

Speaking of community, last weekend we once more took part in the 3rd Annual Faery and Earth Festival in Watertown, NY.  Northern Rivers Grove set up an informational tent, offered hospitality to workshop presenters, built our interactive Earth Mother shrine, and lead the closing ritual.  It was a beautiful day, and we were honored to be a part of it.  Much gratitude to everyone who made it a magical success!
